what is physie?
Physie, short for Physical Culture, is a unique blend of dance and fitness designed to build strength, flexibility and overall body confidence. Combining elements of dance, aerobics and mindful movement, physie helps girls and women improve coordination, focus, posture and resilience while having fun in a supportive environment.
North Pointe Physie & Dance is proudly affiliated with the Bjelke Petersen School of Physical Culture (BJP). BJP Physie is dedicated to nurturing self-esteem and encouraging students to develop a positive, healthy relationship with their bodies. Through structured routines, age-appropriate choreography and encouraging instruction, physie helps students grow in confidence both on and off the floor.

What to Expect in a Physie Class
Every physie class at North Pointe is structured to help students build strong technique, confidence and a love of movement. Classes begin with warm ups and mobility work to prepare the body, followed by stretching, strength and flexibility training that supports safe, controlled development. Students learn the foundations of technique including posture, alignment and musicality while learning their Physie syllabus. Throughout the lesson, dancers practise teamwork, performance skills and fun challenges designed to boost confidence and encourage progress. Each class is supportive, engaging and tailored to suit the needs of the age group.
